Use Quicken – Save trouble
It is difficult to keep track of spending as well as your monies.
Many will disagree with me seeing the no of people who trust their excel sheets. Hell, even professionals trust their excel sheet so much they guard it with their lives!
Having said that, as an engineer, i still prefer to rely on applications to help me do this. I have been searching high and low for a trusty financial software for quite sometime.
Granted they are not perfect, and it is difficult to find one that suits the singapore investor. I find the latest edition of Quicken to be quite adequate. Here in my blog, I will slowly show how i use quicken to manage my finances.
Feel free to critique Quicken, cause some people might felt it is inadequate or prefer software like Microsoft Money. I use Quicken to manage my daily spending.I find its budgeting tool abit complicated, thus i do not use it extensively. With some difficulty, i managed to track my portfolio and other accounts with Quicken 2007 as well. Stay tuned. More of quicken to come later on.
