I like this fund as long as they keep MEIF in the portfolio.

I think they should look to buy some water resources assets in asia.

They projected it to be so I believe they should have done the calculations.

Hi Lion Investor, a 6-7% div does help cushion the impact to a certain extend. However, my opinion is that why ain't it providing the kind of defensiveness that you will get from the other big blue chips.

Some good examples that i can mention are SMRT, M1 and Singtel.

One way or another they are consider infrastructure plays as well. I see very little difference between M1 and MIIF.

The focus we as investors should be worried about, are the selection in the assets.

Before this they have 170 mil worth of assets more. In the absence of this 170 million, would the generated cashflow at least remains on par with this year?

Hi Drizzt,

I'm vested in MIIF too. While the drop from $1.20 to $0.80 might seem like a 50% drop, don't forget it was slightly cushioned by the 1 or 2 dividend payouts which would have mitigated some of the drop.

Some of the more defensive stocks I found are those are that tightly held with prices hardly moving at all.

Another one is singtel, which for some reason, always hovers around the $4 price range.
