MIIF Announces 2006 first half dividend, books closure date and div payment date

The register of shareholders of Macquarie International Infrastructure Fund Limited (“MIIF”) will be closed at 5.00 p.m. on 23 August 2006 for the purpose of determining shareholders’ entitlements to MIIF’s interim dividend of 3.95 cents per share for the 6 months ended 30 June 2006.

Registrable transfers received by MIIF’s Singapore share transfer agent, M & C Services Private Limited at 138 Robinson Road #17-00, The Corporate Office, Singapore 068906 up to 5.00 p.m. on 23 August 2006 will be registered before entitlements to the interim dividend are determined.

Shareholders whose securities accounts are with The Central Depository (Pte) Limited (“CDP”) are credited with MIIF shares at 5.00 p.m. on 23 August 2006 will be entitled to the interim dividend that will be paid on 13 September 2006.

In respect of shares in securities accounts with CDP, the interim dividend will be paid by MIIF to CDP which will in turn distribute the interim dividend entitlements to the CDP account holders in accordance with its normal practice.

As MIIF was incorporated in Bermuda and is not a resident in Singapore for tax purposes, dividends paid by MIIF will be regarded as foreign-source income.

The foreign dividend is subject to Singapore income tax when received in Singapore by corporate Shareholders.

Foreign dividends received by foreign investors with no permanent establishments in Singapore are generally not subject to Singapore income tax.

Foreign dividends received by individuals in Singapore (whether resident or otherwise) are exempt from Singapore income tax.
